Yes, it's still one more day before Blizz Con, but I found out through a friend of mine who reads updates from the U.S. Patent Office that Blizzard is officially announcing another World of Warcraft expansion this weekend.
- Expansion title is Wrath of the Lich King
- Level Cap to 80
- You will have more character customization options. New faces/hairstyles and the ability to change your hair on an existing character.
- Death Knight will be a new playable class.
I can't wait to change Kal's hair and face style! I originally thought he was going to be a very serious and noble druid of the Cenarion Circle, but turns out he's a silly fadeleaf-smoking gender-bending goofball, so I've been wanting to remove his angry grimmace. And the Wolverine-hair seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I would love to change it.

There was a blizz exec who slipped up and accidentally mentioned something to that effect:
"This is their starting area" or something like that.
Also rumors abound that Dalaran will be floating above Northrend and will function as the new Shattrath... this would be really, really interesting.
Northrend features eleven zones with content for levels as low as 68, though players may travel to Northrend at any level. Several new instances have been announced at BlizzCon 2007. Another instance will appear in the Caverns of Time and previously unimplemented instances from the original continents will be included. Many new 5-man, 10-man, and 25-man dungeons will be located in Northrend, including:
* Utgarde Keep - An instance in the Howling Fjord filled with the Vrykul, a Viking-like race devoted to serving the Lich King.
* Grizzlemaw - Located in the furlbogs' home of Grizzly Hills.
* Azjol-Nerub - The ruined fortress of the Nerubian race of spider-people.
* Icecrown - Players will battle Arthas, the Lich King and ruler of the Undead Scourge.
The profession of Inscription is similar to the profession of Enchanting. However, Inscription permanently enhances the attributes of players’ spells and abilities. For example, an "Inscriber" could take the Fireball spell, and give it the ability to daze a target for 3 seconds, or give Shadowbolt a Nature damage bonus, like 50 Shadow damage, then 60 Nature damage over 10 seconds. Along with this new profession's release, the maximum level any player can achieve in any profession will be raised from 375 to 450, with additional recipes for each profession.
And this is very, very interesting -
Lake Wintergrasp will be the first completely player-vs-player zone in World of Warcraft, even on player-vs-environment servers.
If horde get walrus-men what will alliance get? the only other thing they've mentioned are giants and another dwarf and I don't think they'd do either....at least I hope not. 2 dwarf races?! just add the skin to those available for dwarves. and so far the giants sound like they all work for the Lich King. so that is two stikes against them (the other being their size).
